The first couple pictures in three pictures that were attached to the previous email are from Easter. We had about 20-30 people in attendance and everyone had an enjoyable time.  We colored egg, had an Easter egg hunt, and watched a presentation about the traditions and history of Easter.

Pictures 4,5,and 7 are of the SUU Percussion Ensemble that came this last week.  There were 4 professors and 4 Students. The already have performed in Wuhan before coming here to perform.  Here at the Hunan Normal University Music College they put on a performance.  Perfessor Xun and Dr. Bradshaw directed one choir piece each.  The Chinese students and professors performed many tradition pieces for us and the SUU students and professor performed several Contemporary songs on many different instruments.  The international exchange cooperation of HNU and the ASC took part in providing room and board and also took the SUU group around to see many sites here in Changsha including YueLu Academy and Orange Island. It was a great experience all around!

The 6th picture is from the ASC Mother's day lecture.  I would suppose we had at least 30 people come.  We help it in the lecture hall of the Foreign Language College on May 12th.  We ended up having two speakers.  Stacie Stein, Dr. Stein's wife, and Lili Zhu, a professor from the business college came and spoke on the Mothers.  They talked about some of the responsibilities and roles of women in Chinese and American cultures.  They also shared many personal experiences.  We had a great question and answer session as well!

The ASC was also able to participate in the trial run of Changsha's underground railway system and a trip to ZhuZhou to help with testing elementary students English exams.
