南宋 绿釉印花鱼纹碗

高7.5cm，口径18.8cm，底径7.8cm

形制规整，敞口，碗内腹印四鱼纹，两两相对底心为菊瓣纹。内腹另有六个支钉痕，可见此器采用支钉间隔叠烧而成。自定窑采用覆烧法后，为减少损耗，使碗大小规格一致，便采用碗模印坯，碗模上多刻有各式花纹，比一刀一笔省工省力，碗模的应用使产品规格标准化，同时节省了装饰成本。南宋至元时期，碗模在湖南瓷窑已普及，此器便是碗模应用的见证。鱼在中国传统文化中具有吉祥之意，是常见的装饰题材。鱼与余谐音，象征富足，鱼多子，又寓意多子多福。

Green-Glazed Bowl with Moulded Fish Design

Southern Song Dynasty (ca. 1127–1279 CE)

This bowl stands 7.5 cm high, with a mouth diameter of 18.8 cm and a base diameter of 7.8 cm.

It has a flared rim. The interior is moulded with four fish arranged in opposing pairs, with a chrysanthemum motif at the centre. Six spur marks on the interior indicate that the bowl was fired in stacks using spacers to prevent adhesion and ensure even glazing. The use of moulds helped standardise production and reduce labour. By the Southern Song period, this technique was widely adopted in Hunan kilns. Fish motifs were commonly used in Chinese decorative arts. The word for fish (yu) is a homophone for “surplus,” symbolising abundance and prosperity.
