唐 长沙窑白釉褐绿彩执壶

高20.6cm，口径5cm，底径7.5cm

唇口、直颈、溜肩，下腹内收，近底外撇，整器造型纤秀，管流细长，为长沙窑兴盛期晚段产品。装饰手法上采用釉上彩技术，以白釉为底色，在其上用褐、绿两种釉彩勾勒出如飘带飞舞的纹样后经高温烧成，使得彩釉与底釉融为一体，浑然天成。

长沙窑白釉是南方最早白釉产品。与其他透明白釉不同，长沙窑白釉具有乳浊性，不透明，可掩盖其灰胎，常以白釉为底釉，上饰以其他色釉，具有很强装饰性，畅销海内外。

White-Glazed Ewer with Brown-Green Overglaze Decoration, Changsha Kiln

Tang Dynasty (ca. 618–907 CE)

This ewer stands 20.6 cm high, with a mouth diameter of 5 cm and a base diameter of 7.5 cm.

It has a lipped rim, a straight neck, a sloping shoulder, and a body that tapers inward before slightly flaring at the foot. The slender tubular spout gives the vessel an elegant profile. The decoration is executed using overglaze technique. Brown and green pigments are painted on a white ground to form flowing, ribbon-like patterns. The vessel was then fired at high temperature, fusing the coloured decoration with the glaze. Changsha kilns produced some of the earliest white-glazed wares in southern China. This opaque, milky glaze conceals the grey body beneath and provides a suitable ground for painted decoration. Such wares were widely distributed both within China and beyond.
